Home Organization Products I Have and Love, Starting at $11

Editor’s Note: Given that our April theme on Wit & Delight is all about home organization systems, we’re sharing a fresh version of this post, originally published in August 2022. Find all of Kate’s favorite home organization products below, including a few recent additions!

I burned through more organization gadgets than I care to admit before I came to realize there is no one product that can single-handedly change your life. However, when you find a selection of thoughtful products that work for you and your habits, it’s almost like magic!

Bit by bit, I’ve added new products to our house that contribute to my overall organization approach—and as a collective, they’ve been so helpful. For me personally, this is the first time in my adult life that my home has felt (mostly) organized. The mantra I have for myself now is this: “Don’t put it down, put it away.” Once a quarter when I do a deeper organization sweep in our home, it’s so much easier than it once was because everything’s already generally in place.

Today I’m sharing fifteen of the best home organization products I’ve bought and exactly how I use them in our house.

    1. ClearSpace Storage Bins

    $24+

This product, the humble bin, is the one that has fixed 70% of the organization issues in our home. These bins have served as the foundation of my organization method. We have them in some drawers, in every closet, and in the kitchen—we probably have thirty total around the house! I use some of them to store specific items like food, medicine, kids’ toys, and various things for the dog. Others are used to corral miscellaneous items around the house for future sorting. Sometimes, the contents of these bins look like chaos; other times, they look neat and tidy. No matter their state, I’m able to quickly sort through them when needed.

I like that the height of the bins gives you the option of either lining up taller items or stacking shorter items. I also like the transparent material and how easy it is to identify what’s inside. The handles also make them really easy to pull out if they’re stored on higher shelves.

    2. Space Aid Wrap Organizer

    $29+

I impulse-purchased this so hard and I am glad I did. It makes me so happy each time I prepare myself to wrestle with plastic wrap, which has become so easy to cut. This product makes for a neat and tidy-looking drawer. It comes in three different sizes to fit various needs.

    3. GOLIYEAN Storage Bins With Lids

    $31+

This set of lidded storage bins is a more recent addition to my fridge. The sizes work well in standard fridges (I have the medium and large sizes) and I love that they are stackable. They save a ton of valuable drawer space! I use them for things like yogurt, butter, and cheese.

    4. Simple Houseware 2-Tier Sliding Organizer Drawers

    $25

I use these sliding drawers to store things we grab often for cleaning the kitchen. This includes various cleaning brushes for handwashing certain items like wine glasses, straws, and cast iron pans.

    5. STORi Set of 2 Stackable Organizer Drawers

    $24+

I love these drawers for under-the-sink storage in both the bathroom and kitchen. In the kitchen, I use them to store garbage bags and dishwasher tablets. They’re positioned next to the sliding organizer drawers linked above, which makes for a super slick set-up under our kitchen sink. I feel like a woman who has her shit together whenever a garbage bag needs replacing!

    6. Seseno Set of 6 Stackable Storage Bins

    $16

These storage bins are great for smaller items! I love that they stack so well to make use of vertical space. I’ve used these in the fridge for things like berries, butter and cream cheese, citrus, and condiments. They help me keep similar items together. I also use these in my office for storing items like thank you cards, stickers, and random tech stuff.

    7. Totally Kitchen Egg Storage Container

    $14

I have two of these in our fridge. This product has a cover, which I love since it allows for easy stacking.

    8. mDesign Divided Storage Bins With 4 Sections

    $23+

These are perfect for storing various snacks and tea bags in our kitchen.

    9. mDesign Set of 4 Storage Bins

    $24+

I love these bins for storing various items in the freezer and in narrow cupboards.

    10. Veckle Under-Shelf Baskets

    $31+

These are so great for making use of empty vertical space in cabinets! I use them mostly for small plates, teacups, and tumbler glasses.

    11. yaenoei Set of 2 Storage Shelf Racks

    $23+

These shelves are also helpful when it comes to maximizing storage in cabinets. They pair well with the under-shelf baskets above!

    12. OXO Good Grips POP Containers (gifted)

    $11+

I keep all of our dry goods in these containers with labels on each one. I like that the shapes of the containers allow me to easily pack and stack them in our cabinets. They also keep everything fresh longer in my experience.

    13. OXO Good Grips Adjustable Drawer Bins (gifted)

    $12+

These work so well for everything I store in my bathroom drawers. The bins fit like a Tetris set and there’s something about the size that works well for almost everything I own. They have adjustable dividers so you can customize the size of the sections in each bin to be as small or big as you need. They also have grips on the bottom so they don’t slide too much in the drawers.

    14. OXO Good Grips Set of 2 Expandable Dresser Drawer Dividers (gifted)

    $23

I have these in my dresser and the kids’ dressers. They make it easier to put clothes away and easier to see all of my options at once when I’m getting dressed!

    15. Amazon Basics Velvet Clothes Hangers

    $22+

These keep everything in my closet organized and looking really neat! I love them.
