The 2023 Giants Live Britain’s Strongest Woman contest is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023, at the Doncaster Dome in Doncaster, UK. On June 22, 2023, the contest’s promoter, Giants Live, released the names of the 12 athletes set to compete for the championship across two posts on their Instagram page. The names in alphabetical order are below:

The field for this contest is comprised of several household names in the British strength. Three-time World’s Strongest Woman (WSW) champion Donna Moore, former WSW and four-time Britain’s Strongest Woman champion Andrea Thompson (2016-2019), 2021 World’s Strongest Woman Rebecca Roberts, and under 64-kilogram WSW champion Rhianon Lovelace will all clash in the Doncaster Dome. Lucy Underdown is the defending Britain’s Strongest Woman champion.
The 2023 BSW contest will take place one day before the 2023 England’s Strongest Man show on Oct. 1, 2023, at the same location. Both contests are part of a larger event titled “Weekend of Strength.” None of the individual events for the competition have yet been announced.
The Weekend of Strength is the latest move in a growth boom for the sport of strongwoman, which has increased in popularity significantly over the past decade. Its most recent sign of success was the reception at the 2023 Arnold Strongwoman Classic, won by Victoria Long, in Columbus, OH. Roberts and Thompson finished in second and third, respectively.
Tickets for the 2023 Britain’s Strongest Woman contest are available for purchase at the Giants Live website. Giants Live announced that there will be an exclusive livestream of the contest provided by Official Strongman. However, no additional details about the live stream have yet been released at the time of this article’s publication.
