In the Men’s 83-kilogram category at the 2023 IPF World Classic Championships on June 11-18, 2023, in St. Julian’s, Malta, only two athletes surpassed an 800-kilogram total. Gold medalist Delaney Wallace of the USA won gold via an 815-kilogram total — 14.5 kilograms more than silver-medalist Asein Enahoro of Hungary.
However, despite Enahoro not stepping atop the podium, he moved into a league of his own in the deadlift. On his second attempt, Enahoro locked out 370.5 kilograms, setting a new IPF raw world record. Check the lift out in the video below, courtesy of the IPF’s Instagram page:

Enahoro went eight for nine in attempts, missing only his final deadlift attempt after securing the IPF raw world record on his second.

Enahoro’s new IPF world record raw deadlift exceeded the previous record of 367.5 kilograms set earlier in the competition by Nick Manders.
