    Winner — Rafael Oliveira

New stars have emerged in the Men’s Physique division throughout the 2023 season. Fans in Brazil may have seen the rise of a new home-country hero in Rafael Oliveira, who scored his first pro win via a perfect score in pre-judging. The finals weren’t scored in this contest.

Oliveira is now eligible to make his Olympia debut. He’s the seventh athlete from Brazil to qualify in the Men’s Physique division.

Second Place — Guilherme dos Santos Gualberto

Gualbarto made his pro debut at this show and looked impressive. He showed potential to win a pro show in the future, which he’ll have to do soon as Oct. 9, 2023, is the Olympia qualification cut-off. Only winners are qualified for the Olympia in 2023.

    Third Place — Lucas Viudes

Viudes had one pro show on his resume before this contest: an eighth-place finish at the 2023 Sur Pro Cup Colombia. Viudes made improvements in his upper body for this show to earn a top-three rank. It’s unknown if he intends to compete again this season, but he is certainly an athlete to watch in the future.

There were three Men’s Physique shows taking place on three different continents on the weekend of Aug. 11-13, 2023. Jonas Jamena won the 2023 Pacific USA show in San Diego, CA, and Febo Gambacorta was the champion of the 2023 T.R.U. Athlete UK Pro show in London, England.

All of those winners, including Oliveira, are qualified for the 2023 Men’s Physique Olympia, where they will aim to dethrone defending champion Erin Banks.
