Eric Musselman may be at a new school, in a new conference, and a new time zone, but he’s still just as active as ever in the NCAA transfer portal.
The new USC Trojans head coach just landed his ninth transfer of the offseason in 6’5 Xavier wing Desmond Claude. Between the nine transfers and two incoming freshmen, Musselman has 11 new players committed to join the Trojans in 2024-25.
Claude broke out as a sophomore under Sean Miller at Xavier, averaging 16.6 points per game along with 4.2 rebounds, 3.2 assists, and 1.1 steals. He shot 48.4% on two pointers and 79.4% from the charity stripe, although his three point shooting remains an issue as he connected on just 23.9% of his 113 attempts last season.
