    Average yearly salary: $11.5 million

Prior to Smart’s extension, Clemson Tigers head coach Dabo Swinney was the No. 1 head coach on this list. Swinney is also the only other head coach besides the UGA leader that has won multiple national championships, and played for at least one more. Swinney’s teams haven’t performed up to expectation but they still average double-digit wins every season. We could see a resurgence this upcoming campaign with an extended playoff.

It is quite amazing that the list of head coaches with multiple titles since 2007 is Nick Saban, Kirby Smart, and Dabo Swinney.
