The 2024 NBA draft combine is in the books, and now prospects will wait about five weeks until June 26 when the NBA draft begins.
The next month or so will be filled with individual and group workouts as NBA scouts, general managers, and coaches put in the work to evaluate which college basketball, G League, and international stars will become the next NBA contributors.
Much has been made about the ‘weak’ draft class in 2024, although that narrative is primarily due to a lack of superstar talent at the top. The actual class is relatively deep through the middle, meaning players from about 15-40 are all close together skill wise.
The combine boosted the draft stock of quite a few players, including college stars like Zach Edey and Dalton Knecht as well as mid-major darlings Jonathan Mogbo and Enrique Freeman.
Below is College Sports Wire’s first pass at a complete two round mock draft post-combine. No trades were made – although that is unrealistic for the actual draft – and team fit and overall talent were both considered:
