The head coaching search for the Texas A&M Aggies baseball program has now officially come to a close, as former assistant Michael Earley has been named the program’s new head coach.
Earley replaces former head coach Jim Schlossnagle, who recently left the program to accept the same position with the rival Texas Longhorns.
Named the Aggies head coach on Sunday, Earley previously served as Texas A&M’s hitting coach from 2022-24, a span in which the program reached the College World Series twice. This three-year span was headlined by the team making the College World Series Finals this past year, finishing at 53-15 for the year as the national runner-up.
Earley now inherits a Texas A&M team that roster-wise is a bit of a question mark entering 2025 at the moment. This is due to numerous players entering the transfer portal after the departure of Schlossnagle, however some of those names such as Hayden Schott has since withdrawn to play for the Aggies in 2025.
Got our guy 👍
