One man died and another was injured after a shooting amid a family dispute Saturday night in Chino.
Officers responded around 8:56 p.m. to a home in the 3900 block of Pepper Tree Lane, where they found two men who had been shot, according to a Sunday news release from the Chino Police Department.
One of the men died of his injuries at the scene. The other was transported to a hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and was reported to be stable, police said.
Investigators believe the shooting broke out after a dispute between the suspect, 37-year-old Wenhua Lee, and family members.
Lee was arrested and booked at the West Valley Detention Center in Rancho Cucamonga on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
Authorities did not immediately release the name of the man who died or specify the exact relationship between the involved parties.
Police ask anyone with information to contact Sgt. Carlos Dominguez at 909-334-3124 or at cdominguez@chinopd.org
