The preseason AP Top 25 Poll for the upcoming 2024 college football season has been revealed. While there aren’t any big-time surprises, there are some noteworthy rankings to discuss.

Though many fans and experts will argue that preseason rankings don’t mean too much, as top-10 teams can fall out of the top 25 completely by the end of the season, and unranked teams could work their way up into College Football Playoff contention. I would argue that these initial rankings set the tone for the rest of the season and are capable of influencing the powers that be throughout the season.

Each week throughout the season, we will get a fresh set of rankings. For now, lets break down the first Top 25 of the 2024 season as college football kicks off in just a matter of days.
