Not looking good for the 2021 champion Emma Raducanu, who has just lost the first set 6-1 to Sofia Kenin.

Kenin is a Grand Slam champion herself, having won the 2020 Australian Open, and has been in scintillating form so far tonight. She started by moonballing Raducanu and confusing her by changing up her speeds, and in the last couple of games has ripped away some stunning winners.

All to do for Raducanu, who is still looking for her first win at the U.S. Open since her title run three years ago.
