Wendy’s weekly freebies
Remember earlier this year, the kerfuffle that erupted when Wendy’s announced it would soon start testing surge pricing?
The chain appears to be still trying to atone for that announcement.
Back in April, the chain announced it would be giving out a free order of French fries — any size — with any purchase from the chain’s app on Fridays (Fry-days?) through the end of the year.
The chain recently added nuggets to the mix.
For a limited time, the chain is giving away a six-piece order of chicken nuggets with any app purchase on Wednesdays.
Also, the chain is offering a Nuggs Party Pack — loaded with around 50 chicken nuggets — at select locations.
The cost appears to be $21.99 locally.
To find participating locations, visit www.wendysnuggsparty.com.
For breakfast eaters, the chain recently launched a limited-time $3 meal deal consisting of an English muffin sandwich with egg, cheese and either bacon or sausage and a small order of seasoned potatoes.
In addition, the limited-time Dave’s Daily Dollar Deal, which offers a specific menu item for $1 with any app purchase appears to still be active, though it was set to expire last month.
Items available for a dollar include a Crispy Chicken BLT, Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger, small chili, medium fry, four-piece chicken nuggets and a small Frosty.
Burger King birthday deals
Burger King is celebrating its 70th birthday with a special birthday meal deal and daily freebies this week.
Remaining freebies (with a 70 cent purchase) include a Croissan’wich on Wednesday, May 29; a medium soft drink on Thursday, May 30; a cheeseburger on Friday, May 31; a slice of Birthday Pie on Saturday, June 1; an Original Chicken Sandwich on Sunday, June 2; and a Whopper Jr. on Monday, June 3.
The $6 Birthday Meal includes a Whopper Jr., small French fries, a small drink and a slice of Birthday Pie.
The deals are available online or via the chain’s app.
