    Virginia basketball extends coach Tony Bennett through 2030 – fitnessnacks

    The Virginia Cavaliers inked coach Tony Bennett to an extension, keeping him in Charlottesville through the 2030 season. Bennett led Virginia to a national title in 2019, and is the winningest coach in program history.

    However, since that win over Texas Tech in 2019, Bennett has not won a single NCAA Tournament game – and last year’s 23-11 record and embarrassing 67-42 loss to Colorado State in the First Four had some wondering if his time was up.

    Bennett expressed gratitude for getting a chance to stay at Virginia, and has been hard at work rebuilding a roster that lost star guard Reece Beekman and defensive wing Ryan Dunn to the NBA ranks.

    Below is a look at Virginia’s new look roster – including who is staying, who departed, which transfers and freshmen the program brought in, and a projected starting lineup and rotation for the Cavs as they look to compete with North Carolina and Duke in the ACC in 2024-25:
