We’ve yet to have a true upset in Euro 2024 so far. Albania managed to take a shock lead against Italy after just 23 seconds, but couldn’t hold on to their early advantage and lost 2-1. The most unlikely result we’ve had has perhaps been Slovenia earning a draw against Denmark.
But if Slovakia are able to hold on in the second half to beat Belgium? That would be quite a true upset indeed. FIFA’s rankings are flawed but with Belgium ranked third globally and Slovakia 48th, this would be the biggest upset in terms of those rankings at the Euros since they were created in 1992.
