Week 1 of the college football season is officially in the books, and there have been plenty of early surprises. Whether it’s Florida State’s nightmare start, a surprise win for Vanderbilt over Virginia Tech, or the mess that was Billy Napier’s Florida squad against Miami, this season is already delivering.

The Heisman Trophy race is off to a strong start as well. There isn’t a clear cut favorite, and plenty of quality candidates had big time performances in Week 1 – and some of them even did it against fellow power conference opponents.
