    Men’s Physique Favorites to Watch

Below are Men’s Physique athletes likely to garner favor from the judges.

    Benquil Marigny

Marigny has been working hard for a win this year, but he’s come up short in three tries so far. He was third in the Memphis Pro, and he was runner-up in both the Wasatch Warrior Pro and the Charlotte Pro. Marigny knows that a win is a must to make it to the Olympia, so he’s clearly continuing until he gets one.

    Dustin Alvis

Alvis was fourth in the Charlotte Pro, and the attention he received from fans after that showing could serve as a confidence booster for this contest. He hadn’t competed since 2020 before the Charlotte Pro, so he may still be getting reacquainted with competing on a pro stage. Nonetheless, his potential can’t be denied.

    Anthony Gilkes

Gilkes has Olympia experience, placing as high as 10th on that stage in 2020. He didn’t win a show in 2021 or 2022, but this is his first 2023 appearance, which may signal a fresh start for the seven-year pro.

    Women’s Physique Favorites to Watch

Below are Women’s Physique athletes likely to garner favor from the judges.

    Daniely Castilho

Castilho is a four-time Olympia competitor, having qualified every year from 2016 to 2020. Her highest career placing was third in 2018. She also won the 2017 Arnold Sports Festival Women’s Physique International show. Her last win was at the 2021 Mr. Big Evolution Pro.

    Emilija Martic

The 2023 Vancouver Island Showdown Pro runner-up is looking for the first pro victory and Olympia qualification of her career. She has placed second in her last three pro contests, which include her 2022 appearances in the Vancouver Island Showdown Pro and the Toronto Pro.

    Pamela Canfield

Canfield turned pro at the 2020 NPC North American Championships and she’s placed in the top five of every pro show she’s competed in. However, she’s still looking for her first pro win. This is her first appearance of 2023, and her last show was a runner-up finish at the Lenda Murray Savannah Pro.
