Garmin smartwatches are compatible with your smartphone.

Let’s face it: We’re all keeping a close eye on our notifications. It’s how we stay connected — whether it’s a text from a friend, an email from your boss or simply a calendar reminder so you don’t miss your next dentist appointment (again). But staying connected doesn’t have to be synonymous with being constantly glued to your phone. With a Garmin smartwatch, you can make sure you’re as dialed in as you need to be — without your phone ever leaving your pocket.

    Stay connected

Compatible with either your Apple® or Android™ smartphone, you get a lot when you sync up with a Garmin smartwatch. In addition to next-level battery life, activity profiles for just about any sport under the sun and advanced physiological data tracking, your Garmin smartwatch makes it easy to stay connected to what matters — all with a flick of the wrist.

    • Receive smart notifications, such as texts, calls, calendar reminders and emails. Any notification you get to your phone will go to your watch — unless you choose to opt out of some of them. (You may not want your watch buzzing every time someone posts in your neighborhood’s HOA social media group. Understandable. We won’t subject you to that.) If you have an Android, you can even respond directly to messages from your watch using our predetermined response options. And select smartwatches, like the Venu® 2 Plus, come with a built-in speaker and mic so you can take and make calls from your watch or use your paired smartphone’s voice assistant to send text messages, ask questions and more.
    • Use the Find Your Phone feature. Sometimes it feels like our whole lives are on our smartphones — pictures of loved ones, banking information, saved passwords we’ll never be able to remember again. So skip the panicked feeling the next time you can’t find it — the Find Your Phone feature on your compatible Garmin smartwatch can lead you right to it.
    • Add an extra layer of safety precautions. It’s always a good idea to try to make sure your friends and family can find you in the event of an emergency. Garmin smartwatch users can set up the LiveTrack feature in the Garmin Connect™ app and then use the feature when paired with a compatible smartphone. (For safety and tracking feature requirements and limitations, see Garmin.com/safety.) This keeps a real-time view of your location during a GPS activity so your loved ones can see where you are when you venture out for your next jog. If you choose to share the information with them, they’ll be able to see your current location, the duration of the activity, the distance you’ve traveled, your heart rate and more.

The Garmin Connect app also includes all your health and fitness data in one place so you can easily view the metrics your watch is tracking as well as receive free training plans and workouts. Even better? The Garmin Connect app is absolutely free.
