On Saturday, May 6, 2023, IFBB Pro League Classic Physique athlete Andrei Kozhaker scored his first professional victory at the 2023 Korea AGP Pro Classic Physique show in Gyeonggi State, South Korea. With his win was the award of qualification for the 2023 Classic Physique Olympia. He’ll have the opportunity to make his Olympia debut on Nov. 2-5, 2023, in Orlando, FL.

Kai Liu finished in second place at this show, and Denis Romanov rounded out the top three. The final standings for all eight competitors are below:

2023 Korea AGP Pro Show Results — Classic Physique

    1. Andrei Kozhaker
    2. Kai Liu
    3. Denis Romanov
    4. Terrence Teo Kok Hua
    5. Jun Young Yoon
    6. In Seong You
    7. Yunchao Zhou
    8. Kai Ben Jeng

    Winner — Andrei Kozhaker

Kozhaker turned professional one year prior to this show. According to the scorecards, only one point separated Kozhaker and second-place finisher Liu in the single round that was scored. Nonetheless, a win is a win.

Suppose Kozhaker feels confident about making his Olympia debut in Orlando, FL, in 2023. In that case, he will stand alongside the best of the best, including four-time defending champion Chris Bumstead and 2023 Arnold Classic Physique winner Ramon Rocha Queiroz.

    Second Place — Kai Liu

This is likely bittersweet for Liu because he had first-place votes from some of the judges but settled for the runner-up result. He may use this as motivation to enter another show to qualify for the Olympia, as only show winners earn entry to the 2023 Olympia.

    Third Place — Denis Romanov

Romanov is a former Men’s Physique competitor who switched to Classic Physique in 2021. He won the 2022 South Korea Pro, but lightning didn’t strike twice. This was his first show of 2023, and there are plenty of opportunities to compete again during the 2023 season. This was his second top-three finish in his current division.

    Other Notes

The next two Classic Physique shows will take place on Saturday, May 13, 2023. The Pittsburgh Pro, promoted by IFBB Pro League President Jim Manion, will take place in Pittsburgh, PA.

Across the Atlantic Ocean, the Musclecontest Ireland Pro Classic Physique show will be held in Limerick, Ireland. The full schedule for all 11 pro divisions is available on the IFBB Pro League website.
